Dalai Lama’s 18 rules for living

1. Take into account that great love and great achievements involve great risk.

2. When you lose, don’t lose the lesson.

3. Follow the three Rs: 1. Respect for self 2. Respect for others 3. Responsibility for all your actions.

4. Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.

5. Learn the rules so you know how to break them properly.

6. Don’t let a little dispute injure a great friendship.

7. When you realize you’ve made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.

8. Spend some time alone every day.

9. Open your arms to change, but don’t let go of your values.

10. Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.

11. Live a good, honourable life. Then when you get older and think back, you’ll be able to enjoy it a second time.

12. A loving atmosphere in your home is the foundation for your life.

13. In disagreements with loved ones, deal only with the current situation. Don’t bring up the past.

14. Share your knowledge. It’s a way to achieve immortality.

15. Be gentle with the earth.

16. Once a year, go someplace you’ve never been before.

17. Remember that the best relationship is one in which your love for each other exceeds your need for each other.

18. Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.

BRAND NEW

"If it makes you less sad, I'll move out of this state.
You can keep to yourself. I'll keep out of your way.
And if it makes you less sad, I'll take your pictures all down.
Every picture we've paint, I will paint myself out."

SPOILED BIEBER

When most of us turned 16, we got birthday cake. Some got to have a party with some family and friends and presents here and there. Justin Bieber turned 16 and received a Range Rover from his mentor, Usher. On top of that, Diddy gave him his white $200,000 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder. I wonder what he's getting for his 21st birthday...

BODY

I think many will agree that this portrait is self-explanatory yet universal meaning. To me, it shows that your body represents how you treat it. Feed yourself bad foods and you will have a bad food. All that beer equals a beer belly...

JERSEY SHORE X KTOWN

(In my opinion, the petite girl towards the middle resembles an asian Kourtney Kardashian)

I always hoped for more Asian American success in the public face of fame and fortune. I also wondered why I never saw more asians on reality tv shows and so forth. For example Laguna Beach and The Hills, I'm sure our daily circle of friends and the groups we socialize with at all our outings are more entertaining then what they have on TV. They can just call it "The Grove". Moving on, it turns out MTV is putting out an Asian Jersey Shore: K-town. It's produced by Tyrese and his production company, HQ Pictures. The producers had said earlier that they’re, “going to show Asian Americans like they’ve never been seen before to the rest of the world.”

"A few months back the Asian American reality show produced by Tyrese lit the Internet on fire. The cast for the Ktown Reality Show has finally been revealed. This picture was posted on twitter and shows the 8 cast members. 4 guys and 4 girls that will be on the show. With our research, we found that people competing include Young Lee, Jennifer Field, Joe Cha, Scarlet Chan, Violet Kim, Peter Le, Steve Kim, and Jasmine Chang. The pilot episode was shot over the weekend at BCD, Bohemians, and BoBo’s in Koreatown. From what we hear, there was drinking and drama on the set."

I like how instead of vodka its soju and their bar food consists of Kimchi Fried Rice and Bibimbap. I've been to bars and kareoke places similar to the ones in Ktown. There is a popular one called Rurulala in Rancho Cordova off of Bradshaw. They're just going to get drunk the same way we do. I think this show will be as entertaining as it is hilarious. By the way, it's located in Koreatown of Los Angeles. These people were actually casted from a craigslist ad, check it out:

Looking for interesting, attractive, colorful Asian-Americans to cast in a reality show similar to JERSEY SHORE, REAL WORLD, THE HILLS, etc.. We need attractive Asian-Americans with lively, strong, and unique personalities between the ages of 18 to 30 with equally interesting life stories and perspectives to share, especially individuals who know about and/or experienced the Koreatown life. If you are not Asian but are obsessed with Asian culture or people in some way, email us and please explain.

Please email us headshots/photos and a cover letter briefly describing yourself and why you should be included in this show. Be sure to include basic contact info such as name, age, phone #, email, and any other bits of interesting information that will make you stand out. Please feel free to include information and pictures on any of your friends that you think will also be a good candidate for this reality show.

Email us at asianrealityshow (at) yahoo.com.

UPDATE:
We are still casting, but please send your info ASAP. Auditions will occur in and around Los Angeles/Hollywood, CA.

Here are the interview sample questions for the cast, it's well implied that they're search for drama.
(8) Are there any nude or other revealing or compromising images of you that are available publicly either through the Internet, video or otherwise? If so, please describe and explain.
(13) Do you drink alcohol? If so, how often do you drink and how much? How do you act when drunk?
(17) Do you have a temper? How often do you lose your temper? What provokes you? How do you deal with anger?
(18) How many fights have you been in? When was the last time (if any) you hit, punched, kicked, or threw something in anger? Please provide details.
(23) How often do you frequent these types of establishments in Koreatown? (i.e. Restaurants, Bars, Night Clubs, Karaoke Rooms, Hostess Bars…)
(25) Have you experienced “booking” at a Korean night club? What are your thoughts on this practice?

This is going to be an interesting addition to my weekly media, I'll be sure to get on the next season.

GREEN LANTERN

I like how all these comic heroe's are being "brought to life" and multi-million dollar movies are being made to profit from them. I've always been a fan of Ryan Reynolds, he's comedic and smooth with the ladies, sort to speak. He broke into action films after preparing for the ripped transformation for the movie Blade III. He dumped his old wife, singer/songwriter Alanis Morissette and got re-married to the lovely, dreamy vixen named the one and only Scarlett Johansson.

Supposedly they're keep their personal lives extremely private and they decline to comment or state anything about their relationship/marriage. Back to the movie, he's always plays the fast-talking, slick, and funny guy. I'm sure the Green Lantern will give us some laughs and "wow" us with all the action. The female lead playing across from the star will be Gossip Girl's Blake Lively. I didn't like her so much at the beginning but she's grown a lot on me and I find her stunning now. Later on she is supposed to play his nemesis but who knows. Well here's some previews of what's to come.

GRADUATION

EMANUELA

Emanuela De Paula, part-time Victoria's Secret model and full-time Brazilian Beauty

ROSIE

Rosie Huntington, the picture says it all.

//CONTROVERSY&COINCIDENCE

I just got back from the gym and hopped online. Saw two interesting topics on Yahoo! News, from video games to spies and scandals. I always knew that assassins, spies, and secret agents existed but I never thought that they would surface in a way like this. Apparently, the whole Russian ring is being brought in and arrested. It's at about 11 suspects right now and some of them are just living their double lives as normal people, day jobs, and families.

On the other hand, Anna Chapman is considered a New York City socialite with assets in the millions. She actually lives in the Financial District in a fancy apartment and is described as "flame-haired, 007-worthy beauty who flitted from high-profile parties to top-secret meetings around Manhattan."

I just thought that it was intriguing that this new summer movie titled "SALT" is releasing this summer. I blogged about it some time ago last year but yes, there is much relevance to this controversy. It's about a woman who works for the federal government, played by the one and only Angelina Jolie, who happens to accused as a Russian spy. Well, just watch the trailer for the movie and see for yourself.

DINNER AT WORK

Since I don't have a dependable girlfriend who can bring me food when I'm starving on a Friday night, I had to whip up a sandwich at work. It's funny because you can't even see the sausage under the mountain of cheese. It was delicious though.

LAKE X BOATING

GREAT AMERICA

Overall was a good trip. We got there at a good time around 11am and from there the lines were decent. Towards the late afternoon the lines with minimal and we got to ride all the rides we wanted. The best ride overall was the "Survivor" coaster which everyone lines up on this huge, round revolving platform. It spins around going up and down and the great thing about it was that you could look at all the people around you and it faced outside, so it felt like you were falling but it was hilarious. I think we all had a good time and felt like we were kids again.

IPAD X GUCCI

For those of you that can already afford the iPad, what's another $200. Gucci has pre-released it’s signature double-G monogrammed satchel which should hit the stores at about $230. Each iPad case has a strap closure to limit the pressure on the touch screen and is lined with smooth suede that keeps the screen clean and prevents scratching, These slick, sleek, stylish cases will be available on Gucci.com very shortly for pre-orders.

SUPRA

New colorway for their Cuban series. The shoes feature a clean-cut, off-white colorway in a canvas finish for that classic seasonal look. You'll probably see me in these within the next few weeks.

THANK ME NOW

ALIFE released these limited edition tees to help promote the rising star, Drizzy Drake. The t-shirts are available at ALIFE New York only but you can order via online at TheUpset for $40.

LEAVE ME A NOTE

If somebody has ever left you a note then you know how this feels. It's going to be either a great note or something relevant to bad news. I leave notes at work all the time but here are two notes that I wanted to share.

GOOD OLD SUD'S

I already miss those nights out at Sudwerks. If you aren't familiar with Sudwerks it's a brewery and restaurant similar to BJ's or Pyramids. It's located in Davis near the Mace Blvd exit and the most exciting nights are their Wednesday $1 Pint Nights. That's when they're open late and the whole community comes out. It should be nice on summer nights to just chill out and sip on some good beer. Their beer is quality stuff too, it gets everyone buzzed faster and hits hard.

CRAWDAD SEASON...

I think almost everyone is anticipating crawdad season coming up. I don't know who was aware of the all you can eat and drink crawdad festival that had in SF recently. It actually sold out quickly and it was only $25. It seems to be an annual tradition where you can just eat, chill, and drink right on the pier with some good family and friends. Anyway... I know crawdad season is around the corner but I can't wait. It's like a mixture of good food and good company. That's around the time of family trips for camping or boating at the lake. Just waiting for some crawdad and beers...

LAMEBOOK

I just thought this was hilarious...
